CMMC Readiness
The certifying CMMC assessment has to come from an accredited third-party organization. No managed service provider can do it for you, ours included. Anyone offering to “get you certified” is offering something that cannot be true, and that is worth knowing before you sign anything.
What that leaves is the larger part of the job. Preparation and remediation run for months against the systems that are already in place; the assessment is a single event at the end of it. We do the months.
The DFARS clause activating CMMC took effect in November 2025. The deadline for mandatory third-party assessment on most Level 2 contracts has moved before and may move again – but it is coming, and the work it requires takes far longer than the notice period ever will.
A mock assessment is the cheapest way to discover that a control you believed was covered is not. We run the assessment internally, against the real requirements, and give you the gap list – then fix it. Because we also run the environment, remediation is not a report handed to somebody else to action; it is work on systems we already manage.

The same exercise the assessor will run, done early, by people who are not marking their own homework in front of a customer. You get a gap list while there is still time to act on it, and no surprises on the day.
Closing gaps is the expensive part, and it is ordinary IT work – access control, logging, media handling, configuration, backup and recovery. It is what we do anyway, which is why the gap list does not have to change hands to get fixed.
